Doesn't work anymore as before starting May ?, 2024 I think, my session's gone on every snapshot tabs when i checked this past few days, was this extension updated?, my browser is chrome(v124.0.6367.208 and now v125.0.6422.61 chrome windows), only 1 tab in other group/incognito/or not is being saved, and every snapshot has same saved tabs, before it was just the current snapshot which is the "snapshot #1" I think that was saving your history of open tabs for a day and the rest snapshots were retaining the past days history of group/tabs. FYI devs: I uninstalled/ reinstalled this extension(now in 1.7.1version), just also updated(no choice when you go to the about of chrome as it updates itself) the chrome and been 5mins(as the default crash save) past and when chrome relaunched, going to "crash recovery" button shows no saved tabs! in every snapshot to restore session/tabs, why, is it because of chrome's Manifest V3 that the crash restore function is affected?, can it be fixed because "Crash Recovery" might become somehow useless and only saving session/tabs will be available and others(not sure though) like import/export??

v1.7 Quick workaround for latest version. RIGHT click on your session group to open up all the windows.

FreshStart has successfully opened all past sessions, and was used every day, for well over a decade. I totally love it. However, just this morning FreshStart started only opening one tab of any session. I am on a MacBook Air with Apple M1, 16 GB memory, macOS Sonoma 14.4. I run FreshStart as an extension in my Chrome browser version 124.0.6367.202 (Official Build) (arm64). Other users are recently posting this as of the last 48 hours. Yikes, I hope it gets fixed. It is an important tool for my work for well over a decade.

Same here. Using Vivaldi under WinPro 10 x64. Same is true in latest Chrome--only 1 tab opens. I have over 80 saved sessions. Desperate!

stopped working, now open only 1 tab, uninstalling

Having the same problem as others - only opens the 1st tab of a session since the update. This is using Vivaldi Browser - is there a way to go back to version 1.6 (That worked) Edit: Seems to be working for me now.

Update May 27, 2024: Works perfectly again in both of my OSs. Excellent extension! ----------------------------- Update May 16, 2024: It worked in Windows, but not completely in Linux Mint. Middle clicking on the session opens all the tabs, but doesn't launch them in a different window. I can work with this though. ------------------------------ Update May 15, 2024: It works again! Kudos to developer for addressing the problem so fast. --------------------------- It worked very well, but the May 14, 2024 update appears to have broken it. It only opens 1 tab now.

This is what I want.

Has been my go-to for years. It started to crash about a year ago (2022) on my M1 Mac but it has since recovered (must have been a Chrome thing because dev hasn't updated the extension since 2015); back to high performance. UI is sufficient and better than a lot of other tab managers, also intuitive enough for my purposes; easy to update/save/delete sets. I also like that it stores its bookmarks in the Bookmark Manager so it's easy to access and maintain outside of the extension's UI. Recommended.

The plugin works well but there's one big con..that it works on bookmarks. If you collect your pages in ordered bookmarks, if you save a session with that pages inside, the extension changes the bookmark folder to "window...." and so you lose your bookmarks, this is bad and I think I won't use it anymore

It appears others are correct. Crash Recovery is no longer auto-saving tabs and FreshStart only appears to work if you are manually saving tabs. It was a great extension but development has died. Sorry for those who never knew the usefulness of this extension.

Why FreshStart is saving my bookmarks on Google Maps favorite lists?

As of Sep-2022 this app has ceased working and seemingly abandoned in the app store. Seems no updates are coming.. Pity this was a thorough and valid way to manage different browsing sessions and bookmark curation. It hasn't worked in Chrome and as others have mentioned, all the previous saved sessions and tabs are inaccessible within the app. Consider yourself lucky that Chrome > Bookmarks > FreshStart Sessions has a list of all the tabs that were saved in this app.

i had 200 tabs open, i closed it with another window open. problem was i lost all 200 tabs. and this thing couldn't restore it. luckily it had a list so i could click on each thing, but it loaded a black screen then crashed the browser.

I've been using this session manager for many years and it's been great! However, I'd love for it to be updated to support restoring 'tab groups' which is a relatively new feature in Chrome. It restores all my tabs fine, but the tab groupings are not maintained.

Works great, Would like it to keep the chrome groups that was made on the saved session
